Dabolim Airport Goa

Air access to Goa is offered by a large number of domestic and international carriers that offer their flights to and from Goa. The Dabolim airport, Goa, is the only airport in the small state of Goa. It is well connected with the rest of India as well as many international destinations.

General Information :

The Dabolim airport, Goa, was started under Portuguese rule in Goa in the 1950s. It is one of the top ten airports of India in terms of passenger traffic. It is also among the profitable air terminals of India. The airport caters to about 90 percent of the total international chartered flight traffic in India. Estimates say that between 150 to 200 thousand foreign tourists arrive in chartered flights to Goa every year.

The Air- traffic control of the airport is looked after by the Indian navy at present. The flight traffic is about 30- 40 per day.

The runway length has been enhanced over the years to reach 7850 feet today. The facilities in the airport can cater to Boeing 747s at present.

International :
