Often referred to as the 'Freak Capital of World', the rocky Anjuna Beach is one of the most popular beaches in North Goa. If you are searching for a place that has a party feel to it but has a relaxed pristine environment, this is just the right place for you. Quite popular amidst tourists as well as party-enthusiasts, Anjuna beach is an ideal resort that is away from regular hustle-bustle. Swaying coconut palm trees and clean white sand of the beach offer a treat to one's eyes. Create some good memories, just enjoy a leisure walk or take a dip into the calm sea waters.

Attractions:
The Albuquerque Mansion – Erected in the year 1920, the Albuquerque Mansion, is a popular tourist attraction, which has gained fame due to its striking Mangalore-style architecture. The tiled roof and the octagonal towers of the mansion are its prime attractions. The white stones used in its construction add to the charm. Visitors can also have a look at the statue of Dr. Albuquerque that is placed in the front of the mansion.

Chapora Fort- Placed quite close to the Anjuna beach, Chapora Fort is another popular tourist attraction, flocked by people from all around the globe. The fort has been constructed by the ruler of Bijapur, Adil Saha and had got its name Shahpura, which slowly turned into Chapora. The Portuguese rebuilt it somewhere in the year 1617 and added underground tunnels. Taxi or bus can be the option to reach the fort.

Fort Aguada- Constructed in the first half of the 17th century, around 1612, Fort Aguada is one of the best preserved forts, which was built by the Portuguese. The fort is just 15 km from the Anjuna beach and was constructed to protect the area from invasion by the Dutch and the Marathas. The fort also consists of four-storey Lighthouse, constructed in 1864, known as one of Asia's oldest lighthouses.

Mascarenhas Mansion- Mascarenhas Mansion is an amazing architecture that is popular amidst tourists for its graceful architecture, splendid balconies and stained glass floral etching. Constructed during the reign of the Portuguese, this mansion has an L-shaped seat made from an expensive kind of wood, placed right in the front porch of the property.

Activities:
Anjuna Flea Market – Anjuan village becomes the venue of a well-known flea market on every Wednesday, at around 11:00 pm. If you know the art of bargaining, you can get your hands on some amazing stuff like T-shirts, junk or imitation ornaments, Goan handicrafts items, and some superb Gujarati, Tibetan and Kashmiri trinkets. You can also relish sumptuous seafood delicacies and authentic Goan dishes.

Water Sports- If you are an adventure enthusiast, you can partake in para-sailing, swimming, yachting and windsurfing. Water-sports gear and swim suits can be hired or directly bought from the nearby shops.

Enjoy Nightlife- For party-lovers, Anjuna beach becomes the venue of full-moon parties, known for food, music, dance and drinks. Enjoy the amazing vibrant feel of the place. The other option is to visit popular party clubs such as Curly's and Paradiso.
